Mermaids: This carving was the brainchild of the resident where the tree stands in Brookline, Mass. Starting with a six foot diameter beach tree stump that forked at six feet, and up to fourteen feet high, the three Mermaids, mother, with two children, were carved in 93 hours between a cold January and its following April.
